so many things has happened in this short one month holiday. i've gained so much through this holiday especially new respect, friendship, trust and most importantly, experience.

bea, mich and i had a deep and insightful talk about life and our future the other night. it's good to be able to share your thoughts and also learn new things from other's point of view. you get to understand the other person better, as well as learning from their experience and ideas. i like having deep and serious conversations. helps me think more about what i want from life, and how i want to live it.

anyway, last weekend us girls had a sleepover at marina court. our own little private suite. hahahhaha.. it was fun. pictures on facebook soon! :)

the next day we had a manicurist over to marina for our manicure and pedicure lessons. i have absolutely NO PATIENCE for these sort of things. at the end of the day i was so damn fustrated!! i dont understand how people can sit there patiently doing other people's nails for them. i'd rather pay then to be the one getting paid to do it.

i'm having one month holiday now so what better things to do other than, WORK!
and no other person is a better working partner than my dearest friend, beatrice tay.
we're into our second week of work now and no day has been a dull day. :)

btw, we're working as receptionists at a logistics company and there's not much to do, besides picking up the phone if we get out job done quick.

only God knows how much i hate milk. and i'm drinking full cream milk now to gain the stupid weight that i lost here before going home, or my mom's gonna scream at me again. cause apparently, according to this aunty, i lost weight when she saw me the last time i went back home. this got my mom thinking "oh yes she did lose weight. gonna nag her so she wont lose anymore weight." grrr.. hate aunties..

but this time, i think i've seriously lost weight. :S
all my clothes are hanging on me! even friends here said i've lost weight. dammit.
that's why i'm gonna try drinking milk from now on. and it's not just any milk, it's gonna be full cream milk. today's my first day on this torturing a attempt. hope it'll go on everyday till the day i arrive home. :)

after the dinner.bet all of you are wondering "why is she wearing a saree?!!!"

well last night i went to the indian new year dinner with my friends yesterday. and sevva lent me her saree. it's reddd.. my fav colour. haha.. and her accessories too. she made it herself. it's so pretttyyyy.. :)

the dinner was nice, lots of performance that i've never seen before. it's totally something new. sevva performed too. she danced, and she's so graceful. it was really nice. all us girls dressed up in sarees. and i'm the only chinese in it. :D

wearing a saree is so complicated, but i love the long skirt. and there's so many designs you can do with the cloth. it's basically just a 6m cloth wrapped around your body. hahaha.
it looks so sexy yet elegant and glamorous! I WANNA BE INDIAN!

cause first of all, after rereading it again, and again, and AGAIN, i dont see howthat post relates to you, or as you said, to EVERYONE in that institution. unless of course, you're like what that post is about, and thought it was about you?

you'll never guess what i'm up to right now. HAHAHAHA!!*

*the above post was intended to be posted yesterday. however, due to highly retarded internet services, i regret to inform you that the above post has been delayed till today. sorry for any inconvenience caused. ;)

aaaaaaanyway, I'M BACK HOME IN KOTA KINABALU, SABAH, MALAYSIA. there's no place like home. 4 days away and i'm already appreciating home like people who has gone overseas for decades. michelle, sean, and to everyone who has been telling me that there's no place like home, sorry for doubting you and making fun of you. and sorry for all the mean things i've said in the past.

after just 2 days in miri, i fell sick. on the third day, i was staring at the ceiling. on the fourth day, i fell even sicker, watching mosquitoes fly, and complaining about how bored and sick and lonely i was when my dad called. finally, to my surprise, he told me he's going to book a flight back for me the very next day and told me to choose a time. OMG i have never felt so happy in my life. so on the very next day, i arrived at miri airport at 1130am when my flight was at 245PM! i didnt wanna miss the flight ok! better early than late.. hehe.

so here's what i've been up to in miri.

day 1. stupid chau and his friends brought me out for MCD and some grocery shopping. after that we went for a drink at an ice cream shop. my first day was kinda fun so i was looking forward for the next day.

day 2. i woke up at 7 and got ready for my first day of orientation, which starts at 9am. again better early than late. by 8, i had gotten ready and had nothing to do. so i tidied my room a little and decided to have cereals for breakfast.

about 15mins before the school shuttle bus arrived. my stomach started grumbling had i seriously had to go to the toilet. surprise surprise, i had diarrhea. after i was done in the toilet i quickly rushed out and walked(i didnt want to run because it'll look really weird) as fast as possible to the bus stop.

the minute i got to the bus stop, the bus left. so i called beatrice and she started laughing. only God knows how i felt at that moment. standing alone at the bus stop. PANICKING.

suddenly a few students came to the bus stop. instantly i felt better. by the time i got to school, everyone attending orientation had formed a circle already. that's how i met celine. cuz she was late too.

after the first activity, which was super lame, we ended up skipping the whole day and went to town instead.

for dinner, i had a takeaway of mee goreng and chicken wings that i bought at 3PM. -.-

day 3. went to school for a bit to settle some things. then met up with celine and went to meet stupid chau in town. we had lunch and nothing much happened. went home and had tuna sandwich for dinner. yucks. not yucks to tune. i love tune. but yucks to bread, FOR DINNER! and stupid had to call that night and told me his mom got him a ticket back home on thursday cause he's having his holidays now. ugh..

day 4. slept till 10am, lie in bed till 12, online till 2. the line sucks. showered and got ready by 3 so i called an ex classmate for lunch with me. after lunch, went back to my room and watched a dvd. after that, stare at the ceiling. like LITERALLY staring at the ceiling and watching mosquitoes fly by. after killing some mosquitoes my dad called. so we talked talked talked. after talking i went out to cook maggi for dinner. THENNNNNNNN. he told me the great news! so i quickly eat and called bryan. then called beatrice and talked for an hour. but she still had no idea that i was coming home. hahaha.

day 5. HOME!!! sweet little homee...

that's how my 4 days went. now i'm home. with perfect internet. hahaha. but going back there again on tuesday. at least class is starting soon. so there'll be assignments to keep me occupied.

oh and guess what, BRYAN'S HOME TOO!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!! *jumps around like a mad women*. :*

i'm back, from miri. went there for a day with my dad to check out the place and get some stuff over to put in my room so i dont have to bring so many things over on the actual day.

in case if you're wondering why i'm so paris hilton, like what michelle said, which i am not, here's a list of things i had to bring over.:)

-comforter
-pillow
-quilt cover
-bed sheet, pillow sheet

-shampoosss and conditionersss
-rice cooker
-cooking pan
-the cooking spoon and all those stuff
-lamp(i swear i need this at night since i'm sleeping alone)

-fan

the list may be short but those things are damn big and heavy.

my flight was at 6.55am. so i had to be at the airport by 5.55am. that means i woke up at 430am cause i take one hour to get ready hehe. the flight was short and when we got there, jeremiah, my dad's friend's son picked us up from the airport and we went to curtin uni straight away.

it took us a whole day to get everything settled! we only had our first meal at 12pm. we had to go to curtin uni's student services, get a number, wait wait wait to register for the room, signed some forms, and drive to curtin villa to get the keys and head to my house.

when we got into the house, it was the SHOCK OF MY LIFE! it was soooooooooo amazingly dirty, and dusty, and plain disgusting! my room was fucking small too! my room had a single bed, a cupboard, a study table and a small window. below is an illustation of the room.

there was no space to walk at all!!! on top of that the dining area is full of rubbish and all the kicap and opened food all over the place. the kitchen was filthy, rubbish and unwashed dishes everywhere. the cooking area is black and burnt and there was a burnt chair at the corner. the fridge is stuffed with plastics of god knows what and there's frozen blood and other stuff in the freezer, full of the god knows what too. i nearly felt like crying. seriously! i thought i was gonna be stuck in that dump. then my dad said to request to change to a bigger room, so at least if outside is really gonna be that dirty i dont have to be stuck in a store room size room for the rest of my first semester there!(planning to move out after first semester cause i only paid rental for one semester)

so we went back to curtin uni to request for a bigger room. the guy told us that we're not allowed to change rooms. so we negotiated and talked talked talked and in the end the guy called the head officer or something and the head officer said there's one large room left in another house, but its further down the block, further away from the gate, further away from the bus stop. I DONT MIND! so we took another number for the payment counter, waited waited wait wait wait for a veryy long time, paid, took ANOTHER number AGAIN for the housing department, waiteeeed for another 15mins or so, signed somemore papers, then back to curtin villa.

this time, my room is wayy much bigger. and nicer. hahahaha. and the place is cleaner. the lounge, dining area, kitchen and toilet are all much much cleaner. still needs a bit of cleaning but it's WAY MUCH CLEANER. i'm happy.

but now, i REGRET everything i've been wishingg for! i woke up this morning with a blardy stomach cramp. it's STILL CRAMPING.

been doing LOTSA SHOPPING LATELY.. weeehee... that's the great thing about leaving. muahaha! better treasure the moments while i still can. :)

i'll be going to miri this coming monday with my dad to check out my room and get some stuff over first so i dont have to carry that many things over when i'm actually going. will update soon.

i'll be leaving home soon. it's gonna be sad. i'm gonna miss everything. especially my mom and dad. i know i sound like a big baby but tell me, no matter how much you say you dont miss your parents, deep down inside, when you're sitting alone in your room, missing home, missing your bed, missing the food, dont deny not missing your parents. maybe a handful of you dont. but i'm not scared to admit that my parents are the ones im gonna miss most. :'(

so much has been happening lately that i've been so busy, i dont think i'll ever get use to not being busy again. :D michelle, bryan, aaron and everyone else came back for their holidays and it's almost outoutout everyday. then chinese new year came, i swear i didnt have time to sit down and rest. time flies so fast. now, everyone is gone. the only ones among us left here in KK are beat, jess, and me. but i'll be leaving soon to miri in march. poor beatrice.... you'll survive. i'll come back every month to visit you. hahaha.. and for jess, you'll survive too. you have a lot of IS friends. haha.

last night beatrice's cousin gave her 2 bottles of strawberry flavoured vodka. so she saved me from the boring open house i had to go to with my family and we went to sutera to drink it. we didnt have a can opener so we asked a group of people who was there too to help to open it with their lighters. that is one skill i have to learn when i get to miri, opening bottles with lighters. haha. it tasted soooooooo good. yummies. next time i want to go labuan, and buy hundreds of them different flavoured drinks. :D.
her cousin also gave her some other cute looking drinks. will post some pictures up soon.

yesterday afternoon, jess, beatrice and i went to watch the sttss sports day. i dont know if it's just me, getting bored of it already after being in and watching the sports day for so many years, ORrr is it getting worst every year. this year's sports was the WORST i've seen in my life. or maybe it's because of the rain too. it's been raining these past few days and the field in school is all covered in mud and all smashed up. even the poms poms turn black when put to the ground. the camps are all rotten. none of them are nice at all. they all look as if it's gonna crumple to pieces anytime soon. i wouldnt even dare to go near the camps for fear of my life. the dancing was alllllllllllllllll bad. nothing special. and people kept falling down hahahaha. evil.

i'll have to get some new stuff for miri soon.. shopping anyone? ;)

problem talking?

i suddenly realise the other day. something very interesting about myself. and that is, i get tired really quickly from talking.. i know, weird right?

to my friends:
if you notice, i talk a lot at the beginning of the conversation, and after about 20-30mins, i'll slowly die down and finally, silence. so now if you're wondering why i'm always the quiet one, it's simply because i'm tired, thats all. tehee..

i noticed this the other day when beatrice and i were talking in the car. i got really out of breath after talking for a while and beat did most of the talking. then it suddenly hit me, *thinking*"am i tired?????" because i was trying to catch my breath. after wondering for a while, i realise that i WAS and INDEED AM TIRED! and being tired, i get lazy to talk. so being lazy, i dont talk. i know it's weird.. i'm weird! i mean, who in the world gets tired from talking??

so i shared my theory with beatrice, and she agreed. she too realise that i always become silent half way through a conversation. so there's a little something about me that'll add to your knowledge.

life IS a drama. so much hate, love, betrayal, trust, backstabbing, misunderstandings, lies, hurts, excuses and the list goes on and on and on.......

why do people have to make life so complicated for themselves? no, i'm not talking about you, you, you, you and you.. i'm talking about everyone in general. yes, it's hard. but just lay back from all these things. and stop thinking about them. stop creating more drama for yourself. because things dont happen unless you want it to.

there's always a person sitting there ready to listen to you, and it's all up to yourself to tell them.

the other thing i realise is, people always neglect their friends for people whom they're trying to be friends with. like, wwwwwwwwwwwwhhotttt??? wtf is wrong with you? cherish your friends yo! where would you be without your friend? who do you turn to at the end of the day when the other person ignores you or betrays you? who do you still tell things to? who sits there and spends time listening to your problems? your friend.. am i not right?

do not take advantage of them. cause some people take advantage of their friends like they're made from sunlight. no! they wont forever be there for you forever, standing by your side eventhough you dont cherish them. cause people move on. they wont wait for you forever. they cant!! they're humans, they have feelings too..

example of a few things these advantage takers do are:

- call them out or talk to them only when they have no one to turn to.

- turn to them with a truck load of problems when their friends turn their backs againts them.

- returning back the favour by neglecting them when they have their friends back?

how do you think they would feel when one day they wake up to find their so called "friend" missing from the face of this earth?! who can they turn to? can they turn to you? their "friend"? no! cause all along you're just using them! would you help them when they're in need just as you'd help your OTHER friend? hmmm..... i guess not..

and lying to your friend is just plain dumb. not just to your friend, to everyone in general. defending yourself with your little white lies wont get you far. soon people would find out and where would you be? hmmmm???? trying to make yourself look good while making the other person look bad IS already creating things for yourself to worry. first of all, why not just ignore the problem? why cant you let go?

once again, this post is not spefically talking about anyone. i just had this feeling to write things like this. i love my friends. :)

i'm up and alone on a boring sunday afternoon. drinking milo with crushed biscuits melted inside. grandma food. the last time i had this was a few years back with my grandma.. i was looking through the kitchen for food and this idea suddenly came up. so i made milo, and put biscuits inside. hahaha.. good ol times.

anyways, beatrice and i went to watch james bond, quantum of solace 2 days ago. i didnt exactly get the story. why did james bond kill the greene guy when he said earlier on to the girl that he was using him to get to another person? question mark question mark question mark!!! i need my translator here but he's far away now.

it's economics exam tomorrow and i havent studied yet! i tried.... but.. failed. hehe.

i need marina court! but lately, marina court has been nothing but a hangout spot, a place to *ahem* HAVE FUN! so not much studying can be done there anymore. hehe

As i watch him walk through that gate, memories started flowing back to me. all our promises, all our wishes, all our dreams that we have not fullfilled, all down the drain..

"dont worry baby, i'll be back in 3 month."

3 months... it's a long long time. i really look up to people who handled their long distance relationship and still going strong. and i've never heard them complain.. i will not complain too. what's 3 months compared to 8?

for you:
i know i'm strong enough. you can trust me. i know you'll be busy with your studies from now on. i truly understand. i trust you with all my heart. when i watched you today, those last moments we have together, it finally came to my senses that i cannot live without you. i've been leaning on you for too long. i have to start being independant from now on. maybe you leaving on such short notice is good for us both. on my part it will be learning to stand on my own two feet and stop leaning on the pillar that has always been there for me. for you it would be to learn to face challenges no matter what situation you're in. it will both be a good experience for us, and for our future.

i cant believe she did it!! now we FINALLY have something to get excited over! eventho we get excited over almost E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. omgomgomg!

last night was SERIOUSLY, a night to remember. one more on my "most memorable night" list.

my sweethearts and i met a bunch of canadian soldiers when we went for a swim at marina court swimming pool. they were friendly and we got invited for dinner with them. so we brought them to the japanese restaurant at warisan.

ok i'm gonna keep this short and just tell the summary of the whole thing.

after dinner we wanted, no, actually it was ME who wanted to bring them to try our local fruit, the king of fruits..... *drum rolls* theeeeeeeeeeEEEEE DURIAN!....... but we didnt manage to. cause apparently SOMEONE doesnt like durians. tsk. embarrasement. so instead of that we went to play pool at this pub called "the place". kinky.

it was my first few times playing pool so i wasnt very good but BEATRICE AND NICOLE WE DAMN GOOD! so we drank drank watch people play pool talk talk and shanna had to leave early. :(

so there goes our night.

OH! there's a downside..

number one on my "the downside of my most memorable night" list is!

NO 1 AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL. my baby didnt come.:(. eventho it would be weird if he came.. hmmm... i love you..

2. FRIGGIN AS LEVEL EXAMS ON WEDNESDAY AND WE'RE OUT ON MONDAY NIGHT! I feel fckin dumb. if only drinking helps boost my smartness and gives me amazing understanding and memorising power.. :'(

3. i have to go now. dad's back and i'm using his laptop.
